That's totally awesome. very famous illustration, too. I just think the foam lacks depth, but then again, the original was like that too.

I kept thinking there was three colors. Can't even see the fifty-fifty dithering on my monitor. (not because it's blurry. Maybe I should up the contrast) Good piece by the way

No, I never traced it, i'll take it as a compliment. I used a side by side comparison to get as close as I could, but I never trace images, and Karuvin is what came up in the japanese name search I used, he he

This is really nice, almost too nice. Did you trace this? or at least part of it? If you split the image in two parts, one being the crest of the wave and one being the bottom of the wave. Move them around as a semi-transparent layer over the original. They match up perfectly with the original by Hokusai.
If I am wrong, please take this as the ultimate compliment. However, If I am right, I think you should change your description to mention the tracing.
