Hey, Jim16, I finally made an account on here (should have long ago) Anyway this is a really cool pic.

You obviously do not know what your talking about. As technique go's all I did was add basic lighting and basic texture to the wood and beard. I do however agree that it is somewhat unfinished, but thats what learning is for and why people revise there work.

i like the detail and use of colors in areas. The only thing wrong is that your not consistent with a particular shading technique.

I wanted to submit someting that would do the competition justice, and look good in my gallery.
I hope I've done this.

Unfortunatly I think I've taken the word "portrait" to extensivly and hope it doesn't bring down the actual way people see it in the challenge.
