This is my secret santa submission for 08. Lucky for me Indigo lives nearby and I chat with him frequently so I think it helped me make a better present. I've always been a huge admirer of Indigo's work and study his monsters and colors on a constant basis to improve. With this ogre, he originally had a big pot belly but I just couldn't get the shading right in his crotch area so I opted to give him sort of a muscular pot belly instead. There are many areas that need improvement in my eyes, but I need to take a good break from it and revise it in a few months, fresh eyes are the best.
At any rate, I'm satisfied with what I've done for indigo, it came out a little rushed due to my wedding/honeymoon being in the way, but I hope he likes :)
OH and special thanks to arachne who gave me some incredible C&C right before the honeymoon so I could digest and proceed when I got back. THanks buddy. |
