Here we have several characters from a current project; two humans (Vlad and Jari) and the "mythlings" (enemies) from left to right : Goblin Archer, Gremlin Bomber, Orc Axeman, Imp Swineherd, Hob Netter, and the Redcap. Don't worry about stature, these are just regular types - there will be bosses :). 2x zoomed to match in-game resolution.

do you know what would be great? if this was for a game like tales of phantasia. yup, I can see it now. Partisan tactics styled gameplay turns into real-time platform view 1v1 battling when two units come into contact on the board. ahh a man can dream...and add this to his portfolio of "game sprites to study"

this is what I find when I don't get on in a few days, wtf. fucking awesome, I love this style so much it hurts when I see so much of it. Your colours are always very nice, my only crit is that with so much detail in such small peices it is often hard to distinguish the features. BTW can't wait for the game.

Other ambitions have gotten the best of Partisan. The three of us are all working and attending universities, so we needed a project that was much more hobby-scaled.

Partisan is not canceled, but it's on indefinite hold until e have the time and resources needed to make its goals realistic.

These are just awesome Mr Ndchristie.
The Gremlin Bomber's barrel has got a problem with it, and is probs one of the only things bothering me.

I love the colors and designs. I would address the positive space. Some of them aren't distinctive or readable as silhouettes.

[*]A game is in the works. The goblin has his test attack animation elsewhere in my gallery. On pixelation you can find the topic "Vikings" by me (ndchristie) for a sample of them against a WIP background, which is also much darker than here (and the heads are more round because of that). [*]I don't know when Fil thinks we'll produce a demo, work schedules being what they are, but this is a relatively small project and shouldn't take too too long. [*]the pig deff needs some work, I just wasn't sure where to start - thanks for pointing out some of the problem areas [*]swinerider isn't a word :P and he will generally have other pigs and piglets following him

The swineherd is my personal favorite. Very dynamic pose.

I like these a lot. Have you got any backgrounds to see them in context?
I think they could tightened up some more though. For example the tops of the heads could do with rounding off. They go from 45 degress to a straight line which makes them too angular. The top of the Gremlin Bomber's barrel looks a bit like a hub cap. The Imp is more of a Swinerider than a herder.
