First try at doing anything isometric. I've been playing a lot of Disgaea, so yeah. Also had some inspiration from the works of Adarias and Jalonso. Turned out kind of bland...

The pillars are great! The chair is really well-pixelled in iso. :)

I really love it. Especially the pillars are extremely nice, but I also like the carpet, the details on the chair and the additional pillars on the bottom of the tiles. Only the square bits are actually a bit boring, but they do set a really good 'tone' for a level in a game.

The seams come from me making everything as individual tiles and stringing them together.

Anyway, this was a first attempt, andit wasn't a particularly serious piece. I'm done with it for now.

Just some suggestions: the main problem is corners of the steps. they must be with a bit light colour from light which fall there /now they are with more dark grey/. also throne and pillars need more contrast.

I really like the statue and the chair, they're real nice. The rest is as you said - bland.

I also notice some seaming errors on the rug.
