This is my first real pixel piece, and that's pretty much all I have to say. It's based off of me, other than my hair (never that neat). I'd appreciate discussion/suggestions for future reference.

Yeah, I learned that in an art class 4 years ago, but it never seems right and I end up changing it. What else seems wrong to me is the back of the jaw, by the ear. Ear seems too low, and jaw too stretched. Thanks for your comment :D

In reality lenghts from your eyes to your chin and from your eyes to top of the head are probably nearly the same - check them using hand. Also check other lenghts and find which are similar. You'll see what's wrong in picture.

Also colours are too close, so they don't make distinctive shadows.
