there aren't any white pixels - they're dark flesh-colored ones for her part.

I think the reason it looks like armour is the width of the shadow area. If you consider where you put shadowing to the be the area "falling away" then this skirt has some pretty thick fabric to be falling away for that far. God I hope that made sense.Maybe less of an area "falling away" along the side and bottom. perhaps some vertical wrinkles like on the shirt for texture (to avoid it being just a big grey square with the shading thus gone)
and I thought Ravenclaw because of the blue, but when I saw the little tweaks of yellow I figured she was just generic.
Or maybe she's a Huffleclaw, or a Ravenpuff......

wow, very neat style, like the pose and the dithering i nice, but the bottom of her skirt looks like samurai armor xD, nice nontheless ^^

Really tight work... love the way you did the back arm dropped behind her body and the braid behind the head. Gives it a nice sense of depth.
