I'm working on a platformer game as my "diploma work" for my school. The game has a "World Map", 6 unique themed "lands" that all have 6 levels including the boss. Lava Jungle, Snow Land, The Graveyard, Western Town, Cloud Kingdom and Castle Land This picture is from the graveyard stage. I already have a working game engine and stuff, but lots of graphics need to be done.

the hand has many angles in the animation, thats just one of them. The whole animation looks much nicer :)

the hand coming out of the ground looks bad. look at a ref (eg. micky mouse hands if cartoony)

Nice look overall, but I think there's room for a lot of small improves. You'd want your diploma to be perfect!

A few ideas: palette needs more work, color ramps are not well integrated; some textures don't work so well: tree, and mostly lower sky (looks solid); some shapes could be more interesting (tree, columns). And there might be a reason for it, but I'm annoyed by the composition option to have elements in front of each other, happens 4 times.

good gui. main character pose bit bland. dirt higher than grass bit weird.
