Amazing work, and such a lovely flow with the animation. The hair could sway a bit more, but even without it this is so lively and beautiful. Great job!

user

just noticed the transparency issues on the preview

user
Dr D (Level 4 Shichikyu) at 11/15/2009 10:49:00 AM

Just thought I'd let you know, the preview is peppered with transparent pixels.

And, cat-army, he answered that question in an earlier comment.

Anyways, looks beautiful as always, Syosa. Wish I had your animation skills. =]

user
smk (Level 6 Hitman) at 11/15/2009 10:14:00 AM

lol hax. no, nice work.

user
Photocopier (Level 11 Godfather) at 11/14/2009 9:53:00 AM

Thank you for that, I was  hoping to see it again :D

I've actually bookmarked that picture now.

user
TheInquisitor (Level 4 Shichikyu) at 11/14/2009 5:06:00 AM

Very cool animation, Syosa. Love the style. I usually dislike anime but your characters are just so gosh darn cute! The first frame of the head moving and turning to its right goes a bit quick though, I think. Her head kind of snaps to the left.

user
theJ0E (Level 3 Stalker) at 11/14/2009 12:31:00 AM

outstanding. it's always interesting to see how pieces are constructed.

user
sharprm (Level 4 Deputy) at 11/13/2009 7:33:00 PM

fair enough. i don't have time to play around to see if it looks better. thx for sharing your method.

you should do another dancer animation some time.

user
Nightmare Maker (Level 8 Regional Boss) at 11/13/2009 1:59:00 PM

This is just awesome @_____@

user
onek (Level 6 Hitman) at 11/13/2009 10:23:00 AM

u must have a great feeling for physics of movement and timing!  ... but i agree with sharpm, about the hands/arms ... they look a bit like tentacles

user
Brokencode (Level 1 Rookie) at 11/13/2009 7:00:00 AM

great tecnique O_O

user
Syosa (Level 1 Depressed) at 11/13/2009 4:31:00 AM

Thank you for your comment, Wolverine.

I replaced the preview image.

I think final animation do not contain transparent pixels twitpic.com/pbwvl, but upper wip images may contain...

user
Carnivac (Level 8 Shodan) at 11/13/2009 3:52:00 AM

Nicely animated though I really don't like the character design or style but that's just personal preference.  You're good at what you do.  The preview image looks messed up here though.  Random transparent pixels all over the face, dress and arm.

user
Syosa (Level 1 Depressed) at 11/13/2009 1:44:00 AM

>>Sharprm

I want to make an elegant movement. Elegant means well refined and smooth and natural movement.

So I thought I have to minimize her preparatory movement for her turning.

Of course hand's anticlockwise movement is important to normal turn animation. It's looks dynamic.

user
ZeroNova (Level 4 Lieutenant) at 11/13/2009 12:10:00 AM

This is amazingly well animated...

user
sharprm (Level 4 Deputy) at 11/12/2009 11:48:00 PM

looks great. i don't know much about animation but wondering shouldn't the arms move anticlockwise for the 'anticipation' of the clockwise turn?

user
Syosa (Level 1 Depressed) at 11/12/2009 8:09:00 PM

Because Smith was born in 1992. She is a highschool student.

user
kingpyfiou (Level 1 Rookie) at 11/12/2009 6:11:00 PM

真的很棒。好喜欢。

user
prism (Level 1 Jukyu) at 11/12/2009 6:11:00 PM

;u; So gorgeous.  Your friend's character design is so unique.  Why does her coin say 1992, do you know?

user
Alcala (Level 1 Rookie) at 11/12/2009 6:01:00 PM

Amazing work.

user
kingpyfiou (Level 1 Rookie) at 11/12/2009 5:58:00 PM

user
Manupix (Level 11 Godfather) at 11/12/2009 1:32:00 PM

Your animation skills are unbelievable. I'm wowed!

Her arms are sooo long... guess you have a reason!

user
Calv (Level 7 Assassin) at 11/12/2009 1:29:00 PM

I love this, it's inpirational.  Is this how you model all your animations, with the black silhouette first?
Fav'd, max points :)

user
jamesmorrow07 (Level 1 Jukyu) at 11/12/2009 1:11:00 PM

This is too awesome! The way you incorporated the WIP into a finished product with animation is truly astounding. Very nice!
