I thought I'd left a comment on this but apparently I didn't. Good use of the palette and I really dig that dither-y element there. :D

Still a bit too cluttered IMO.

Sometimes less is more. Liking them as individual elements is ok, but do the tentacles, bubbles and uberpixels serve a purpose/enhance the image - if not, why include them?

The rest just seems  like random space filler to me though...

neon yellow does little to add volume to the face, headphones also mess with the focal point as they stand out more. interesting for messing around though, maybe try something a little bigger next?

 Yup. That seems to be the concensus. It's the usual problem, deciding it's too cluttered and fix it by adding too much.

I personally like the clef and uberdither as individual elements, am currently leaning towards the dither as the choice.

Actually, the stuff you did last night seems better than the stuff you added today - the huge dithering/"words"/treble clef are really distracting D:

But still, the actual face looks great, I love the use of colours. As I said, looks very Noetesque.

I'm no big fan of some bg details though: the tentacle things, "words", the clef (learned a word today!).
