I love the colours, the really smooth shading and the advanced war-ness :D I never thought I'd find bugs this cute :P

 The level art is pretty simple, but the whole image gives me the need to see more, and play this fictional game!

It was supposed to look like a game right :). Too bad I didn't have enough time to get the things the way I wanted though.

 yeah its a pity u left that radar out... >_<... also i was hoping for much more when i first saw the sketch in the forum... very nice ideas there with that clusters and everything i think its much nicer with  that HIGH grass ...kinda acting like barriers... also the stones and flowers should be bigger to get that macro-esque look... kinda like "darling, i shrunk the kids", but its still a very good piece, my favorite so far

Lovin' those bugs!

This is extremely readable, you did a great job on everything here. I love the colors in the bugs and the shapes outstand me :). The main thing I was really looking forward to that I thought you were going to do, was really tall blades of grass to be in proportion to the size of the bugs.

Don't see any problem in the C+P in this case as it gives the impression of an actual game. Despite the lack of detail in the landscape (some different plants, small trees) and the missing radar in the bottom right corner (as shown in your sketch), it's a fantastic work. Got my vote!

Looks pretty good. Though the tile work on the dirt and grass seems a bit iffy. Maybe you should designate some unique dirt-to-grass tiles, so they blend better with each other....just a suggestion.
