PJ is very strict to what is called pixelart, but it helps to stay on topic. Basically for PJ pixelart is what created without automated tools (like smudge, gradient or opacity) except most basic ones (like line and fill bucket - where you can exactly predict result), with care for each pixel (so no sketches), and in it's source form (so no screenshots from TV and anything which brings artifacts).
I reviewed pixel gallery on your site. But sadly pictures are saved as jpegs, therefore have a lot of jpg artifacts. You can get rid of them by decreasing colour depth WITHOUT Floyd-Steinberg dithering.
Two examples of what would be perfect for this site:

http://www.sevensheaven.nl/imagedetails/illustraties/pixel-illustraties/hoi-spel-scene-04/
(I think on the last one moderator was too carried out while rejecting it or blamed jpeg format).
Those do not use mentioned nasty tools and don't have artifacts (but still would better be saved as png or gif - that way they would load faster).
Thanks for your advice, much appreciated. I know JPG is 'dirty', but my site was only capable of displaying JPGs in the early stage, that's why a lot of images are JPGs on my website. I can't easily change the filetype, because the images are entered in a database along with all info.
Also, a number of my retro game screenshots have programmed Amiga gradient effects (so-called Copper chip transitions). Without those effects, the screenshots would lose a lot of appeal and would not be genuine anymore.
Cheers,
Metin
