I personally love the dithering, to me it seems very smooth and pleasing on the eye. On close inspection the only niggle i find is that the blue on the water (i think) seems very odd being such a high saturation etc. But owel! +fav'd.

Don't listem what they say against the dithering. It's overused, but it's great.

The idea is wicked! Only that handheld could be more realistic (more like a classic GameBoy).

 Dithering looks okay on the humans, but on the monkey dithering ruins it. The colors are way too far apart and it looks like an extremely harsh clash.

 Nice use of purple.

 The dithering does give the monkey more texture, but not really the right texture. It's still a much nicer version of the piece though, I think.
