 A 64x64 fountain doodad for my WIP game, Vertex. Find the GMC thread here: http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=467758

The game is 3x resolution, and the player is 16x16, so actually the fountain is rather huge (and intentionally so). Here's a screenshot of it in-game: http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/7855/vertexgardenfountain.png

If you have anything to suggest, especially about the water animation, please do suggest it. For the most part I'm pleased with this, but there's improvement to be made.

I think that there needs to be an intermediate shade between the lightest two maybe. Also, that sky colour in the screenshot is verrry saturated D: nvm if it's WIP :P

I think it looks fantastic and, along with the trees, stands out as the best piece of pixel art in the screenshots. You chose great colours for the fountain, but if you'll allow a suggestion not on this piece but on the screenshots, I'll say that the beautiful muted colours of the fountain would go a lot better with a muted shade of green for the grass.

I'd be back to game making with GM too if there was a very easy way of implementing dialogues (I'm still hoping for some free game maker to offer a simple but effective dialogue tree editor).
