EDIT: (4. feb 2012) I agree that the composition is wrong; so modified the left side to balance

original idea

i like the style!, but i really really not like that rounded texture/pattern... seens like "to much ppl is using it", which lack of creativity :(((.... and well the color palette is kind of boring or well is balanced in a way that make the piece boring. other than that, the piece is really cool. I would love to see more from you :D... you have interesting stuff

ceddo (Level 6 Yonkyu) at 2/7/2012 10:52:00 AM

Manupix (Level 11 Godfather) at 2/6/2012 12:10:00 PM

Voted. This is amazing to look at in so many ways.

skeddles (Level 11 Psychopath) at 2/6/2012 6:09:00 AM

you've really got that blocky dithering style to work for you, some people don't know how to use it. I would have added another color to ramp of the desk thing behind the black crowned king, as 2 colors doesn't work too well imo =p

_Connor (Level 5 Assistant Manager) at 2/6/2012 12:19:00 AM

Definitely got my vote. Love the style, palette, characters. This piece is amazing.

your pixel arts look like sketches. yay not northen kings on snowy scapes? where is this place =) they should be wearing hot clothes

EdJr (Level 7 Ichikyu) at 2/4/2012 6:31:00 AM

Hey, very interesting style and colors! I like the simplicity and the old looking very much.

I agree with Delicious though. Also, the queen's(?) clothing looks unfinished. I'll personally fave this because I don't want to forget this really different piece!

AG182 (Level 2 Flatfoot) at 2/4/2012 4:57:00 AM

You do have a style, good sir!

Papermoon (Level 3 Enforcer) at 2/4/2012 2:40:00 AM

that is pretty damn cool... also in thermological view. ^^ due to the interesting coloring and shading it actually feels pretty 'cold' . love the work on the snow mountains and the white king's coat ^^...

Delicious (Level 8 Regional Boss) at 2/4/2012 1:29:00 AM

Too much happening on the right. You should of created a larger mountain on the left to balance out the composition. Good work otherwise.

ECPixel (Level 8 Marshal) at 2/4/2012 12:15:00 AM

In this art is spirit!
