You are right, particularly about the choice between smooth lines and the uneven texture.

I like the shape, lots of texture. Individual curves could use a lot of refinement (lots of jagged. I know its a tradeoff between smooth lines and the uneven texture, but I think it could do with shifting to the smoother side a bit). Also, the light green either needs to be toned darker or the white removed, there's not nearly enough contrast between them, to the point that the white is essentially invisible.

But a cool image. I actually really like the varied thickness outline.
