I think that the dog, if it is undead, could do with more hints/subtlety regarding its decaying condition. I hope you don't mind but here's an edit:

Actually, the hunter caught my eye a bit more than the wolf - really liking the style on him!

It seems your sprite work is really coming along, and I can't wait to see one of your backgrounds paired with some really high quality sprites in the near future.

There are some readability issues in the torso region of your hunter; you want distinct colour values in small spaces, but the brown of the bow strap and his purple top blend together. The wolf is much better, but I think it's slightly too long. You also seem to have a stray pixel below the wolf's cheeks.

Thats a really tight sprite! I always wanted to do something that small and detailed, but every time I tried I failed!

 Thanks man. Sprites aren't my thing, so hearing a comment like that from such a great sprite artist is very refreshing :) 
 

 I feel like the wolf's face could be more twisted. Other than that, I love the style on this! Purple outline, no bottom outline, nice palette and size :)
