I really have no idea how many colors I used here, but I'm hoping it's under 24, haha. Drew this over the course of the last 2 days, spending... about 7-8 hours? Hope you like it!

E: PJSpecs informs me I've used 25 colors. Turns out there were a few leftover colors from a previous palette-tweak which I've now gotten rid of.

What do you think?

Great perspective, and of course, great pixeling!

Jesus you've been eatin' your wheaties, man.  This is a bit intimidating...  :|  Particularly nice elements:

- the general idea/design behind the mostly faded-to-black background;  I've found in my own experience that designing a good layout for a BG that can tile vertically, but doesn't have an obvious "base level" to it is rather tough; it's not the drawing part, but the actual design - coming up with something you can depict which doesn't mandate an obvious connection to a ground plane, or whatnot.

- probably the best bit in this piece is the tiled texture being used for the in-fill on the rocks, there.  Good set of variants, nice rock rendering, doesn't feel repetitive.

- despite some complaints about the flames, I actually think they're brilliant from a stylization point of view.  Their distinctive look might deviate from the typical "physically correct" shape for the average flame, but they're still trivially recognizable as flames and look unique.

- great work also on the rope bridge's planks.

Amazing work. But I agree with Muiriled about the flames.

And the bats, I don't think it's necessary to have 2 colors if they are not enemies. But if they are, maybe you should use more colors to them.

BTW... Awesome work!

copy-pasted flames?

Maybe the flames should be giving more lighting to the surfaces around, but it's a great piece. I love that ambience.

This is amazing like others said but I'll state the issues: Hanging bat's look bad because you've drawn them as a silhouette but they're too bright for that. The bearded man statue has unnaturally low contrast when compared to the rest of the piece. Below his beard should be black. Fires are too spread that they look like lightning.

This is amazing of course, and I love the colors. The contrast between the blue character and orange background works well as well. It looks immersive and the GUI looks neat, too. The only thing that is bugging me are the bats. I feel they should -not- be reddish orange, and instead maybe a blue-purple to contrast the background, but their outlines look like "banding", if you see what I'm seeing? But that's a pinprick of a complaint in a gold mine of awesome.

 Amazing !!!!

But there's something bothering me about those rocks,  the darkest ones, they take my attention away from the sprite, at frist I didn't even notice the sprite

Other than that everything else is amazing, loving the bg and the statue, the huge bats really work in that huge cave :)

I'm not sure if bats are part of background or npcs you fight, if they're part of bg maybe you should make some darker so they look further away :)
