Yeah about the placement of the shadow... it would be more to the left, and a bit further away, judging from where the light source is. That shadow shouldn't be so sharp either in my opinion. I'm not too fond of the white shine-lines on the left. With the shading on the sphere, it seems you've kept to the contour of the lower left side of the sphere and developed the shading around that, without taking into consideration the shape of the shpere as a whole. The shae of the shading should align with the top-right contour the further in that direction you get, otherwise it doesn't look much like a sphere, but rather an oddly shaped  blob. Apart from what leel said, that's all I can think of now.

Aswell the shading under the ball should not be so dark

1.  why is the highlight of a ball square? or a rhombus, if you wanna get technical lol.  It makes the ball seem pillow shaded, cause thats what the highlight usually ends up as when you pillowshade (which I see you didnt do here).. 

2.  How about some bounced light on the darkest part of the ball? 

3.  since the light seems to be coming from the top right, I think the top of the box should be lighter that the side thats facing us.

Thats all the advice I can think of right now...
