The main character for the first adventure game I designed but never finished, where all the characters except one were named after breakfast foods. Her name is Pancake, hence the title. I was slightly inspired by the sprites from fighting games, but it's not really a fighter sprite. I don't really like her hands, but I tried. I'm not sure what she's doing either. It's an awkward pose, I know. I was just messing around, trying different things. It was fun, at least. Edit: I've updated it with some changes, I'm happier with it now. I gave her shoes!

While I don't like your other works particularly, I REALLY like the style of this. My only crit is the arrangement of the lighting on the right leg -- needs to be darker. maybe a triangle of dark from the left edge of the knee to the left edge of the bottom of the jeans leg, to provide additional depth cueing.
