Yeah, it seems the bg came out better than the sprite...
Funny, considering I made the sprite first and THEN added the bg, and only because I felt the guy deserved something more than solid color bg ;)
Oh, I forgot to mention this is supposed to be Snufkin from Moomintrolls (even though he looks more like FF's black mages...).

One of my most favorite pixel scenes ever I reckon. Something about the background just got me inspired to do something too. Shame I never have much free time though.

FANTASTIC! ASTONISHING! I was planning something like this for King of Spriters 2006. I got my inspiration from the Black Waltzes from Final Fantasy IX. But I must say you did an excelent job on this. The funny thing is, I choosed exactly the same colours blue and green to colour it!
