This telephone sat beside my laptop. I'm pleased with the overall result, but wish something more interesting sat so close to provide inspiration.

Absolutely lovely. The colour you've chosen is great. 5*

The keys may not be identical but you do look incredibly similar >.< oh yes and the 2nd from top line of them seems a lil out of place, although that might be a tad hard to fix cus it's only one pixel. I shouldnt worry really but hey.

Thanks a lot Helm, I appreciate the feedback. The outline bit is quite obvious, and I know I should have spent more time on it really. I guess I have many technical skills left to learn.

Helm (Level 5 Detective) at 2/21/2006 2:29:35 AM
Nice render. Pretty clean, finalized and robust. A 4, only because you could have deviated from reality in the palette and done some shifting to make it more interesting. Also minor outline issues you could have eased out especially on the line at the right contour.

mister, your skill is awesome. im humbled by your greatness. +5 & fav

Thanks for the f---ing awesome response guys! I had no idea people would like this so much. I suppose this was my Bisque-like pixel art of everyday objects.

Faktablad: The keys aren't PERFECTLY identical, they do include slightly different shading.

Thanks again to everyone who enjoyed the piece.

I love the shading on this little thing, it's interesting by itself.  I don't like the identical little keys, though.

leel (Level 5 Killer Klown) at 2/17/2006 11:29:55 AM

" just like in the days of old Russian Komsomol."

oh my, how did you know?  I had this exact same phone from the soviet days haha I'd still have it if I hadn't moved to the states, it was the same color, buttons and everything.
This is great, it brings back many memories :)

+5 and fav

well. it is a pretty sweet phone...

Blick (Level 6 Commander) at 2/17/2006 8:02:29 AM
Makes me think of Office Space... Which is a very good thing. I really love the form of the phone, you used shadows really well with this.

inkspot (Level 4 Button Man) at 2/17/2006 7:57:57 AM
ZOMG it is perfectly perfect! I just love it, nice and yellowish-gray, just like in the days of old Russian Komsomol. That kind of color was the colour in the design of massivelly produced furniture etc.

Wow thats a nice 'wireless' one, it looks good, I remember the times when these kind of phones could be found in every office....
