Want to give some dough back to all those amazing pixel artists?
I find it helps to make sure that the body is exactly (or as close as I can get to it) how I want it. Looking at the first doll with no clothes, his anatomy immediately seems strange and unnatural. I know it is supposed to be a chibi character, but even for a chibi his corresponding parts seem a little too deformed.
Try bringing the eyes in towards the middle of his face a little more. They appear as if they are almost on the side of his head, like a fish.
I'm not trying to rag on your piece, jsut trying to offer ups some helpful c&c
