Well, since I'm a great fan of SongeBob, I just hade to paint him. Not so difficult to do since I had a picture under to paint on. But I did the AA myself, which was the whole point, AA practise.

Here's a link to the picture

Was a bit lazy, so have used a bit to many colors I think..

If I get good  respons, I might do Gary and Patric aswell. Or maby I'll do them anyway

:-:- Uppdate -:-: se for yourself

What do you think?

i think the improvement is much better, looks less pixelated and more shaded

In my opinion now it's better. The only part that is a little off are the teeth. I think this can be fixed by adding a black outline in the side were they overlap the dark red.

And you can AA without making the line thicker. It's just a matter of technic. I saw an advanced AA tutorial in some place that explain this. If you like to improve your AA skills take a look at it.

In my opinion, pixelart should have visible pixel lines as a general rule. AA, selout are tools of last resort. The update has lines on the pants that are so smooth it might as well be vector art. I say make Patrick first then Gary.

Thanx for your comments, And to anserwer to Percv@l: On some places I skiped the AA on purpose just because it looked bad with a big fat line. But anyway, I'll uppdate, and then you can compare...

I have to agree that the AA isn't perfect, but damn is it ever good!
Welcome to my favourites list for having the balls to work big and endeavour to make it look great!

I have to desagree about the AA. In some places you just anti-alised one side of the line and forget the other. It will be better if you use at least two shades for the AA instead of just one, because black and light yellow contrast too much.

All the rest seems ok.
