Ok people, I am getting VERY sick of repeating myself.  So I am making a post, and this is EVERYONE's one and only warning.

DO NOT post the link changing URL.  Period.  It is not funny, it is not a prank...  It is immature and idiotic.

This is not debatable.  If you post it, you will be suspended from Pixel Joint.

I am the Gallery Director for Pixel Art at deviantART and  am trying to encourage Pixel Artists to display their work at deviantART.com.  I am offering anyone who wins a challenge or gains an award at PixelJoint,  a likely  automatic DD Feature at deviantART, provided you are a member and have your work uploaded there of course. Even if you didn't gain first place here, your work may well gain a DD feature, so please upload win, place or lose.

... Literally!
Adarias the winner of the Food Warriors challenges you to create a monster of sorts using a household object as the main inspiration.  Try to think of something original (the killer vaccum has been done guys :P) and pick something totally out there (but still found in many houses).

    Size: 64x64 - 96x96
    Animation: Yus! (4 frame minimum)
Transparency: If you can make a square canvas into a fluidly animated sprite WITHOUT transparency, you deserve to win hands down!  Otherwise, it's a must.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

The pixel art community at DeviantART is growing. In october a new dA pixel art club named Pixel-Pax was started by me (lollige), and is now being run by Metaru, Shonegold and I. More than 120 members, and active challenges and collaborations every day.

Not a member of DeviantART yet?

This might be a good reason to join, helping the pixel community to grow, getting ourselves known by other artists aswell! Submit your pixel works, join pixel-pax.deviantart.com and even more people can see your work now! Also you can immediately join the active Summer/Winter challenge, you might have seen a few entries of that in the PJ galleries.
At the same moment, the pixel art galleries on dA get cleaner every day thanks to the hard work of ShoneGold, the Gallery Director.
See you on dA!

From challenge winner tomic comes this very interesting challenge. Re-pixel the first pixelart that you've submitted to your pixeljoint gallery. If your first pixelart was your avatar then your second pixel. Nothing newer.

rules:
- recognizable improvement in shading, dithering etc. must be evident. No entry will be allowed that does not show this.

ADDED: If your first gallery was sent back for revision or deleted. You may use this for your challenge entry but must include a direct link to it for comparison when voting.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

PixelJoint is very proud to feature Adarias the youngest pixel artist to be featured by PixelJoint so far. He is proof that age has nothing to do with pixel art prowess. The following conversation was held over a few weeks time via PMs. Some time lags occasionally happened because my pony, Pixiedust, requires so much of my attention. Originally I intended to have an informal conversation in very general terms with Adarias but the subject of color quickly overtook us and because Adarias has so much to share with us and his take on things are so thorough, I focused on this topic for the most part. Enjoy the wisdom he provides.
