If you're a fan of Escher-eque little doodads you should check out this guy's little zoom project.

This is also a lot like the neat little project we highlighted in October... The Zoom Quilt.

Todd McFarlane Productions Inc. filed for Chapter 11 protection a few days ago. Tony Twist was recently awarded a ginormous amount of money in court ($15 million!) from Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. McFarlane used Twist's name for a character in one of his Spawn comic books.

Twist claims that defamation of character ruined endorsement deals. Yeah, I'm sure Nike and Pepsi were knocking at his door before Spawn. If anything, having your name out there in a popular comic book would give you street cred with the kids. It certainly couldn't hurt his perception with adults...how many adults would know anything about a secondary comic book character? Claiming his name had anything to do with Spawn's success is insane. How many people have ever heard of this knucklehead? McFarlane was definitely wrong for using his name, but a $15 million hammer is absurd.

Tony Twist exploited the system and won.

Improved some of the messaging functionality, took out the need to specify width and height for submissions, and snazzied up some of the site icons. Many thanks to the members who suggested the improvements. Keep the suggestions coming!

WARNING! This might be a tad inappropriate to view with someone lurking behind your computer monitor.

Steel yourself for some disturbing console behavior before you go check it out.

You can now delete old messages and there's a more descriptive message with links for all the different types of alerts (favorites, comments, avatar select, buddy add, etc).

We're in the middle of testing some serious upgrades for the messaging system.

Whenever someone adds an icon of yours to their favorites, replies to a comment thread you've posted to, or makes an icon of yours their avatar you'll be notified. This should help keep members in the know.

All the messaging tools are still being worked on right now and we should have it up sometime next week.

Squashed all the minor bugs for the "large" pixel art submissions. If there are any issues with the new tool please contact us so we can fix them.

In other news... we've now got over fifty L'il Dudes in just a few short days and they're really looking good. Keep it up!

This has to be seen to be believed... this very cool car commercial doesn't appear in the States so you'll have to check it out online if you're a Yankee.

An infinitely expandable virtual world sounds like a neat trick, but how much more damn time do we need to spend outside reality.

Pixel artists can now submit pixel art of any size. There are a couple of bugs left to work out, but the core functionality is in place. Hopefully we'll get all the minor bugs knocked out in a day or two.

Submit your large pixel art today! Woohoo!

Did the Half-Life 2 story leave you a little lost? Have no fear! Some dedicated fan has put together a comprehensive outline of all the events from Half-Life 1 to Half-Life 2.

There's obviously some spoilers in the outline if you haven't played the games. You've been warned!
