I agree about the boneless thing; don't be afraid to leave some sharp lines to your anatomy! The dithering is gorgeous though.

Your preview image really doesn't serve you well! These are awesome, I love the blue/spiderweby one. (:

I rather like these as well. (: Very simple, but stylish.

The dithering's cool, but the shading itself seems kind of weak and pillowy...might be nice to see some more focused lighting, and more shape to the creature.

If this were a video game, her enemies would have to be like...giant angry cupcakes.

I remember those houses! I like them; the temple-ish part, though, seems a little low-contrast in comparison with the rest of it, and could use some more detail, I think...

So basically, because it's too much work for one person to do alone, no one should do anything about it at all and it should just be allowed to get constantly worse? (;

Maybe -- but it'd be nice to at least have a foot in the door, if you know what I mean, and not have someone who knows nothing about pixel art and has no clue what they're doing [cough] passing out the awards and promoting the community. (;

This looks amazing, technique-wise -- like oil pastels. It doesn't really look like a mushroom to me, but that might be the reference more than anything else. (;

You have until Sunday and this is still extremely sloppy...I think you still have a lot of time to take this and play with it more, before submitting it. Smooth out your curves, clean up the lineart, perhaps add some more depth of shading [especially in the shadows], get a real reference and go all out.

This is so amazing. {: I think the patchwork sail is my favorite part; so many different colors in there, and yet it meshes so well.

I love the color on this...it looks simultaneously bright and gloomy, somehow.

You did get a very 'oil painting' look to this through the over-dithering...I think there are parts, though [like the sky] that have a somewhat pillowy, bubble-look to them because of the way you've chosen to shade, like the shadows around the outside of the trees and the very bright hilights on the leaves.

I definitely saw Cthulu and not a vagina...still don't see a vagina...>.>

I love the blocky shading/dithering style of the upper portion of the trunk, hope you'll finish this someday. >:

These are nice! I feel like, however, either the front or back wheel is too far forward -- or maybe both? The car looks off-balance somehow, and I definitely wouldn't want to drive it up a hill. Might flip a little! (; Maybe move them back, make a little room for the engine?

Those silhouetted trees in the background might be my favorite part...they remind me of trees in Savannah dripping with Spanish moss..

The clouds are also gorgeous, very puffy and happy.

I might go back and see about reducing the colors... The gear's actually one of about 10 I made, but it was the one that fit that space best! xD

Strange maybe, but I really like the bag, hanging off the rocks...seems like maybe it [and the cactus] could use some outlines ala the character to separate it from the background a bit better?

for the record, she's not a doll - I did her from scratch, not putting clothes on a body or anything...(;

and yeah, the far arm bugs me in general, I had no idea how to make it look natural and right and everything. I'm actually totally willing to go back and rework that if people have suggestions on how to fix the errors, I just have...NO clue. and her near hand bugs me too.
