Oh wow, this is EPIC! I love everything about it and find myself drawn into it. All the details and things going on in this is really awesome. I like the muted, lively, scene in the background. Super nice work!

What a cute idea for this challenge, haha. I really like the graytones on them too, it works very well. The Lemur Mage is my favourite!

Ooh, I had missed these somehow. Very nice sprites, Ems! Even if it might be copypasta I think they are very varied and individual. They're all so cute! <3

Excellent work! The colours here are simply amazing and the level of detail in these little sprites is very impressive.

Oh this is really neat! I like the style a lot, but have to agree with Adarias that the complete black colour looks out of place. You could try either making that colour lighter, or making some of the other darks, darker. And the GUI totally needs a bolder outline, as mentioned. At the moment it blends in too much with the rest of the screen. Otherwise this is great. Nice colours, cute and funny details. The chickens are sooo cute!

Magical! ; D I really like the concept and I agree that we need more western steampunk! The dithering techniques you have used here are excellent. I also think you have used contrast cleverly here - like the sunset against her legs and the glow from the magic distinguishing her arms and body. I do think that the antialiasing could be improved in a couple of places though; like on the outside of the magic fire. This got one of my votes!

Thanks y'all! :D I genuinely appreciate each and every comment, favourite, and rating.

The B.O.B.: Long time, no see, eh? I had period when I wasn't very happy with my pixels. I did some commercial jobs and well the pressure gets to me when it comes to pixel art. I have also been honing my other graphic skills, like CG painting, life drawing, sequential art and things like that. I'm going to study Illustration in September so I better had, haha!

Squirrelsquid: Nope, these are of my own design. They resemble the Pokémon style a bit, I guess. But that comes as no surprise to anyone who knows me! :P You have a good point about the feet. For some of these sprites the feet in particular was extremely difficult to get to look right (Pig's and Dehj's for example). This was the best I could do, but I think it works. I don't think I will add any shadow though. The girl with the tail (Baby) is one of my favourites too! :)

xxmantisxx: Thank you! A lot of emotion even with these small faces is what I was going for! I'm glad it worked.

.Planet: I'm sorry, but I don't speak Portuguese - but thank you nonetheless!

Great use of colours. Really nice and crisp celshading too. I also like the green/vintage hue this portrait has. Very nice work!

Oh my, this is simply perfect! I very much enjoyed the pun, hehe. I think you have made excellent use of the palette restrictions for this challenge. It is all very creative, from the concept to the animation! Fav'd!

This is awesome! I very much liked to get to see the progress of this. Portraits are so much fun, and you certainly seem to have had fun with these. :D The many-eyed-bird-alien is my favourite I think. And I Love the details in the hidden portrait!

Robinhood: Thanks for pointing out the stray pixel!

Pickles: Thank you! :)

Vertigo-Zero: Thanks. Although, I don't want to change anything from the original design of the animal characters. They do look a bit plain compared to some Pokémon designs. But I hope my grasp of the style is good enough to make up for that.

Nice work. I like the little details like the stitches in the plushies, and the way you have added vague outlines to the celshading. It looks especially good at 2x. Very nice job!
