To be honest, I was expecting some dozens of entries.

Are you sure though? They're mostly mockups, obviously, but these (and there are many more) are just to illustrate the opposite of what you said. And yeah, I guess that "actually isometric is the main thing here".

Very nice concept!

I think underwater lizards would be a nice shot, as long as there weren't marine iguanas already out there! (Both the challenge and [coincidentally] these comments automatically reminded me of the existence of such extraordinariness =D)

Very interesting challenge, not sure if I'll have time to participate.

Reminded me of Turquoise, which is just awesome. It could be a little more polished, but it's great nonetheless!

Very nice, just like all the other ones! One question though: is that green in the lower right there on purpose?

I sincerely prefer the old version. I honestly find it more precisely pixelled. I agree that Christoballs' edit is gorgeous, just like yours were, but I consider his version a "style shift" (since yours looked more like a cartoon and Christoballs' was more to a realistic drawing). This newer version isn't as accurate as the other ones - he looks like he's cockeyed, and the shading in some parts (like his right eyelid, his left cheek and some others) is a little "inconsistent". I mean, I think that the final composition somehow lost the harmony and charm the old one had.

Please, don't take this as a negative comment. I didn't comment on your older piece because I didn't have anything relevant to say, but I really loved it. And that's why I say: Keep that one!

Very good pixelling, but I don't see the same quality in the animation. Besides what was said, the frames skip too much; my attention was driven to the legs (in an attempt to understand what was happening) instead of the running cycle as a whole.

I thought she was inside of some kind of anti-gravity chamber that was being turned on and off, and something was lauching her backwards while she was trying to escape from such place. I think I need to start reading the descriptions before trying to interpret pieces. XD

Well, this is a nice animation, but I agree with DragonMarx!

Very good actually, I like these colors very much (and kudos for the fact of this being your first one). I think it would take you a really little amount of time to apply the final polishing (correcting outline and shading issues in the trunk, which looks quite unfinished, and improving the segregation of the leaves, which shapes could be better defined), but the result might be comparable to that of someone who has done it tens of times.

Great design, loving them!

Carnivac, yes, they're all real, funny YouTube videos and stuff. I didn't know the third one though.

Oh, sorry, you're right! Useless comment.

I think the main point is about what ouroboRose said, and maybe that's why the last picture is the favorite one here (mine too). That gradient sky is gorgeous as it is, but the other elements in general, especially the trees, are too saturated. That fence contrasts in terms of style (it's much simpler in shading and number of colors), which makes it look very artificial. The same goes to the house/temple and the lamps (which also lack depth). The sand is too bright compared to the rocks, making them look like they're floating. Maybe you could at least shade that area to blend them.

Great work nonetheless. I really like the two last ones!

I was going to say the same.... I like the general rendering and the simplistic look, but the colors just don't fit!

I agree that the contrast is too high, especially in the upper-left picture. Nonetheless it has a style and the details are pretty recognizable, which makes me like this very much!

Funny and very promising! But I think this needs some more polishment, and the font colors make the words kind of camouflaged into the card.

hm, I didn't think that way. But I don't know, it's way too contrasting, it just looks unfinished compared to the rest of the piece (even the deepest layer of the background looks more detailed). Maybe detailing it a bit more, or at least adding some light rays to "justify" the drastic change of brightness, would make this look better. Just my opinion.

By the way, I have to agree about the sprites, this background is too good for them.

Well, I tried to put a kind of brute face on him.... Maybe my efforts screwed it up instead of improving it, since it's a tiny piece and I don't control details very well.

Your sense of depth is just awesome! My only critic (I agree about the bamboo not looking like a bamboo) is about the grass, that pure color doesn't fit with the detailed environment.

Yeah, that was the intention! Unfortunately I didn't have much time to polish the card itself, I think it's too rough.
