 that's a very good point, I think I'll try and do that next time, but as failureboy said, it does kinda add to the context, and it doesn't seem to be too offensive.

 My orrignal plan was to do a window actually, like one of those stained glass windows. The problem is that I'm not a very good artist and it probably wouldn't have ended up very good.

 I'll be honest, I really didn't want to use the cross, but it felt really blank right there and I neede something to occupy space. If you can suggest something that wouldn't be offensive that would be greatly appreciated.
