Pixel Joint Forum: PLEASE help with hair

   hiya guys, well im working on another portrait ^^ and im almost finished just trying to put some detail in the hair! and i just cant make it right 0_0  i need some1 to do a quick edit lol coz everything i do just looks crap

	Actually, I'd be interested to see what edit comes out of this, as I too have this problem when it comes to drawing and/or colouring hair. If anyone makes an edit please could they describe how they came to that conclusion and share any techniques or colouring rules used? Kudos in advance =) As for what you've got already, great job =) very clean ^__^ could use some AA on the black on white though. The lines on the black/white areas are a little too sharp/jaggy. 	Here you go. Problem, brah? Seriously, it's better if you just have a look in the Hall of Fame and try to imitate some of the nice hair there, instead of just asking for someone to get you started. You learn more that way.

	Roflmao Cels. xD If I may I be daring for a moment by even questioning such artistry, I've seen that artist's portraits and although extremely intricate and well footed as the characters are, I've always found their hair very .. flat looking.. kinda... I can't describe it accurately I guess.. I just know that I don't really like the hair in their portraits.. Although the hair in that one isn't that bad actually.. kinda nice,really. perhaps that one is an exception or newer.. 	lolllll CELS. I would also recommend AA, but in very specific places with moderation. I'd probably AA the shoulders very slightly, or maybe not at all. I would, however, AA the vertical black lines on the inside of the suit. You want to keep the sharpness as much as possible Edited by Frost Butt - 09 November 2011 at 7:59pm

	lol cels love the bald. good idea ill check out some stuff in the hall of fame and see if i can come up with a good way to do the hair

	im in the middle of working out the hair ^^ it seems to be going ok ill post a update pic when i get a bit more done. Update so ive been messing around with hair and tried a few things.. i decided to go slow and place every pixel to make strands. but not sure if it looks good ? shall i keep going , tell me what yous think Uploaded with ImageShack.us think atm there too short and clutterd together :( Edited by sasuke91 - 12 November 2011 at 6:30am
