I just love the way you have made the girl, especially the hair.However, if you don't mind, I have some comments with the background. I think the color of the forest and the mountain is somehow in contrast with the colorful fields and the sky. I mean, their color is so strong that it stands out too much. I suggest, making their colors a little more light that it would blend its surroundings.
I hope you'd accept my constructive criticism. It's just something I've noticed.

I have to agree with you, this is really bland, and I think it's really disappointing to see this rated so high. The only redeeming feature is that the model is somewhat cute, but thats about it. This definitely belongs much further away from the likes of snake's work, in any case.

I enjoy this piece, it is rather nice! What i don't get though is the background; maybe some feedback to clear me up on that.

It's sad that this is the most praised piece when there are so much inspiring and imaginative pictures on this site. An elf that has no elfish features besides the wonky ear, smudgy skin that more resembles a bad Photoshop job than a pixel art piece, dull and incoherent palette, a mess of hair with no actual depth or volume, some bad decisions regarding the composition (all that air, the fence?) and it's not at all a very representative pixel art piece (as a number one piece should be), it doesn't utilize any strengths of the medium itself. The background is okay, even though the field seems rushed. The biggest flaw is perhaps that it has nothing at all to do with the foreground, it's not very fantasy-esque at all and doesn't add to the feeling of the picture. All I can think of is kitsch 90s and 80s-style T-shirts-shirts and posters, with unicorns and rainbows, and it's not even done especially well. Also, the artist may want to study some anatomy, the lack of basic knowledge about facial musculature and bone structure really shines through. I also think that all the other pieces done by this artist are much better and really utilizes the medium, this is just a mess of a picture.Before anyone attacks me and says that I can't do better myself, I'm too critical, etc etc , I'm critical because this is one of the most praised pieces on this site, and it's really bland and not representative at all! It's okay, and better when compared to much, but that doesn't say anything about the actual quality of this as a piece. This looks more than a Photoshop-paint over than an actual well thought out piece.

This is the best pixel art work I ever seen, my only concern is the shoulder and the bone that goes with it, is way to far from the neck but other than that Love it!

like people before me the ear does look a little off but the nose and shoulders are fine, this would have been like the ultimate pic if she had a stronger emotion though like if she was crying she would have and excuse to not pay any ateention at the breath takeing view. i just started and i'm pretty sure that this tooks years and i'd love to get this good, amzing is all just amazeing the women is buetimuos just... ayh... no words can describe this this picture is worth more than words...

Nothing special. Nose is a little bit weird and landscape is too "layered".Each landscape plane is much too separated from another. Can't figure it out why everybody saying "oh" and "ah" about it. There's even no single tit on the screen ;) 3/5

Hmm... her anatomical structure seems odd, especially at the shoulders. It would seem to me that her neck should be longer, and her shoulders, although not bent as much as others seem to put, are also not supposed to bend this diagonally. She also seems rather detached from the scenery behind her.
Although... I can understand why she seems detached. It seems rather breath-taking at first, but after a while, it seems rather boring. I think it's because your transition from one thing to another was not very smooth.

Lovely model you picked; Adriana Lima's a very beautiful woman. I also liked the fact that you decided to not put any sort of make up onto her; Makes her a natural beauty. I also happen to love the sky; The colours are perfectly picked. I just wish the sky would match more with the rest of the scenery.
