   CHALLENGE: 1BITty BITness
Using only 1 color of your choice on a 1 color background create a pixel which suggests depth and volume.

• 2 color palette of your choice.
• No transparency.
• The pixel canvas is not restricted.
• Nothing remotely close to Oekaki allowed, pixel placement accuracy is a must.
CHALLENGE RULES
Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
Only new pixels allowed.
Open to all members.
Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.
CHALLENGE JUDGING
Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES
Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
No matter what happens you get challenged :)

	spartan.. 2 colors only.. u got 3 there :P I have seen oekaki, but still have no clue what it is after googling, wiki-ing and Honestly-ing it... :D This one is fun, it reminds me of the drawings in Painter on spectrum lol :D

	I'm curious, does that count as real pixel placement FrankieSmileShow? I've always wondered with your pieces and while I thoroughly enjoy each it seems more like a scribble technique then each singular pixel being placed with love and care. Either way you should finish because that looks damn awesome. <3

Nope, thats all by hand. no, we mean its sort of scribbled, so you didnt draw pixel by pixel but you took your pencil tool and just scribbled to make some mountains.. you have drawn alot of lines next to each other to get a mountain, and you didnt zoom in to pixel level to place every pixel on exactly the right place...

	You seem to be very informed on how I proceed! Do you spy over my shoulder as I lay down the pixels in such an horribly pseudo-random fashion, a slap in the face of pixel art itself? May the gods of bitmap forgive my gratuitous insolence, and may I be struck by righteous divine fury where I stand! Give me 2*2 checkerboard dithering or give me death! Chaotic lines? yea rite more like ARTISTIC RAPE! Or it might just be my style, mh? Miiight be. Bah, strike me down nonetheless, to be on the safe side. :o (its just my style. 	Metaru's list of things to do: ~~define canvas & colours~~ ~~draw moon~~(uff) ~~draw characters~~ animations dithering&color draw background revision submission planning to give this as my anniversary gift, for my girlfriend. somewhat i feel proud of that moon. really. and those colors have an special meaning too, since orange's is her favourite color, as dark blue is mine's

	Geez Metaru, I was making the exact same thing! Here's my WIP: But seriously, though. I took a frame from Lawrence's animation and colour reduced it with Photoshop. I must say, the resemblance is uncanny. That moon just screamed colour reduction + diffusion to me the minute I saw it, and I find it very hard to believe that even a single pixel of it was placed by hand. If you did do it all by hand, then please accept my sincerest apologies, but if it is indeed a colour reduction then you should know that you can get banned for it. And especially because it's for a challenge.
