An evolution from an attempt to make a crab creature. This taught me that the first step before drawing is to look for references. This is also the file that I got my username from.

Nice, and abstract. Finally I know where your name comes from, and the Selective Outlining you suggested in the name is also very good.

Ooh, nice to learn a little backstory about a username.

The question is... did you learn the lesson by using a ref photo initially or did you realize after you did it that you should use a ref photo?
