The characters could use a bit more contrast (and color saturation). As they are, they boots blend into the ground. The white shine on the left guy's pants seems a little odd. Great bg!

By the position of the sun, i think the shadows are inconsistent for the characters and the horse.

other than that, this is just gorgeous :D
