I made a Solid Snake avatar for me to use on the wii-volution.com forums. Used an image from Super Smash Brother's Brawl as a reference. [note: modified it slightly to fix a few problems with it that I had]
Good point. Modified the head, and does look better overall now. If anyone is wondering why the Solid Snake avatar isn't usable as an avatar, it was because I wanted to be stingy and use it for myself. So I checked off the "Allow others to use as avatar" box. Lo and behold though, I can't use it either, and it won't let me reset to be usable. Moral of the story: don't be stingy :P

The right side, our right side, of his face seems way too straight and pulls my attention away from the rest, which is a shame because the rest is very well done.
Thanks for the comments. Good point on the background, I'll probably desaturate it and darken it to focus interest on Snake. As for the letters, they're not really a font. just random doodles of my own, so I'll replace them as soon as I can make them look better ?Unknown?, you're right about iffy spots. I thought the head was fine, but two spots that stood out to me were the ammo pouches on his chest and the leg on the right. the muscles on the leg to the left look really good to me, but in comparison the ones on the leg on the right look...well not as cool. probably has something to do with the darker lines I used in the leg on the right (technically his left, I'm speaking picture-wise).

I like it, but there are place where it loooks iffy. i.e. the head
its cool but change the backround - a darker one would keep my eye on Snake and not on the backround... also mayybe give the letters some more "style" dont know how to express - but the font just looks crappy... I like it!
