The simplicity in this piece is just wonderfull! *-*
stop triple quadruple posting on people's work. if you want to discuss something with the artist, send them a private message, do not spam their art with a string of senseless comments. and if you really have something to say about the piece itself, then edit your posts rather than double and triple posting. however, your personal requests (spoiler alert: pro pixellers usually don't spend their valuable time making sprites for 13 year olds) belong in private messages and not on the comment sections of people's work- this is a gallery. If you choose to respond to this message, do so via pm.
Oh my heavens. This is awesome! I especially love the brown pillars.
I'm assuming you also love to do game scenes :)
Anyway. I really like it but there are a few things I would change:
1. The health bar / stars collected thing - I think it looks a little weird having the bird's head just cut off there. Maybe a little border?
2. Background is a little blah - I don't know if that's what you're going for, though, having never played a classic GameBoy ^^ The greed rounded hill things look a little pixelly at the top - you and everyone else is probably going 'Duh - it's pixel art' - but it throws me off. Maybe remove the top border, or make it lighter?
3. Last, I promise! The water in the foreground - also kind of blah. Again, I don't know if that's what you wanted, but it's not working for me.
Anyway. Would totally buy this game ^^

I must try this cutesy simplistic style sometime, this is inspiring. A great application of the pixel art genre.
And mario will always be better than donkey kong and sonic...... but lugis better than mario....
........ I think I did a spelling mistake in luigi's name above...... anyways....
*whistles* damn......the sky is done so well...it looks painted.

I love it its soo cute 5+ anf Favo,d
As stated it is a mockup screen for a GBA game idea, lets not forget that real GBA games use manipulated bitmaps from Photoshop or other art packages as backgrounds and even intro screens sometimes, though usually with some colour reduction, so I really do not see the problem here.
The rest of the scene is all hand pixelled and if I may say, Pixelled very well indeed.
In conclusion, maybe Kennethfejer should have submitted the sprite pixels for the characters seperately, but for the sake of a mockup scene I think that the sky adds to the realism of the whole piece, it just needs the ammount of colours used reduced a little bit.
Angry birds, and Duck hit mix? I like it! Great work!
