i like the form of the wings very much. but the upper part is to separeted from the rest of the wings, in my opinion.

wow, i like this a lot.  i dont know why, but it catches my eye.  good pose, and good shading.  could use some aa tho.

I just think Lawrence is wrong about the wings and Arch's direction. Why couldn't the wings be opened wide in a different point of view from Arch? But then, his right wing could not be like that... Oh, and I saw that... It's not mirrored... But indeed, it seems to XD

That's really beautiful, the wings are fantastic, jaw dropping, the humanoid isn't far off of that either, and I love that cloud, favorite for sure.

I know how sometimes wings can be tricky to get right, and you have done well with them
(i know they arnt mirrored, its easy to tell - just takes an extra second to look and compare them)

but thats about all i care for.. the pose is alright - but the style and colours dont match the wings and the background is boring

Seven: Heh, thanks! Yeah, the guys at BnG siad the same thing about the wings and Arch. I guess I outta add a black outline to the wings too, or remove Arch's. Which ever is easier. :P

And really, the sky was just an excuse to not open Jasc and make a transparent BG. I know, too lazy. :P When I upload a fixed version of the sprite, I'll make a transparent BG.

And you know I wouldn't mirror a wing Seven! :O Take a good look, they're not mirrored, but the end result made it look that way, which really sucked. I'd really, really rather not redo it completely, but I think I thought up a way to give it more of an angle...

The wings, character, and background just don't match styles, and the wings don't really look like they're attached to the guy -1

Excellent work BBD. I like the shading and pallete, but there are some issues that I think could be better.

First of all, the piece does not have too many harmony... Why? because you have three distinct elements that are not blending together: Arch, the wings and the sky. Arch hasa style his own, so have the wings. They seem to be from different artist, maybe different games, and someone pasted them together thinking it would be cool.
And why the sky? Too much cellout from Arch's wings. Celout + light background = BAD. Black outline + light background = BAD. Of course, taking the piece as one thing. If it were a cutscene from a game, I would understand. Still, celout could be avoided.

Last, but not least, mirrored wing = BAD =P
