This was done as a style study of Kenneth Fejer. learned alot from doing this, and was a ton of fun to do. The sky/background is not pixel-art. EDIT: resubmitted without CG sky

This guy seems to come out from the simpsons' world. The colours are really beautiful, but the leaves of trees seem somehow unfinished.

if you guys want to get in a bun about the brushed sky, be my guest. I simply suggest ignoring it and looking at the pixel-art for what it is, minus the sky.

I implemented the CG background simply because that is something that has remained constant through most of Kenneth's work.

I know you are doing a style study, and personally I like the sky. But it would be so cool if you could've mixed his style in with your own pixelling background layer(s). But still this is very nice. 6/6 fav. The squirrel wackyness rules.

OH, one crit I forgot to chuck in there, might as well stick it here.
Palettes - don't artists of your caliber usually merge anything so similar as some of the ones you've got there? It's a bit gaudy of me to suggest, because I don't know if you chose to or not, but if you DID slip up on that, then... yeah.

I love it. Definite fave that I might study it later, so I can learn 'bout colours and how to not suck at them.

OH, and why did you submit it at double-size? Whatever happened to original size?

It´s a funny work, but not is a complete pixelart: I suposse that the sky was draw with a brush tool, not pixel by pixel.
