Great work, I love the flys, and the palette is just amazing. Superb.
Though, wouldn't he be a Cyborg, half robot half creature, than a robot? Seeing as Zombies can only infect living creatures... I'm going all Technical now :D

I tried to make the tail coming foward and the metal on it shining but I think I screwed up.

Love the hatching. The stink-lines are a nice effect too, lol. Although the tail is confusing. The highlights on it make it look like the light source is slightly more lower down and to the left compared to the shading on the body.

The flies are a great touch, and I love the texture on the tail, and the subtle way the tail goes from scales to metal to scales again. Great piece.
