Not to say there are none. Previously mentioned are AA and color management. AA, well, you're just going to have to pick at that until you get it, but color management is why I usually don't use MSPaint (it's a fairly good sized hassle to keep low color count there).
Yeah, I really would like to see this polished, but really, honestly, the effect would only be a mite different if you do polish it. Although that is what separates the good pieces from the great, and the great from the hallmark.
Anyways, I hope you don't mind this as an intrusion, but I took the time to edit it a bit. I reduced the color count from your 75 to 49 colors, and I re-AAed a line in the orb just to give you an idea of AA-ing and how much you need (people who probably can AA better than me... *COUGH* Tremulant *COUGH*, feel free to correct my edit, ... haha).

Thanks for the comments everybody, I really appreciate them. As for the crits:
to the majority: I know the AA kinda sucks. It started out as an extremely detailed piece, much like that of Rivas, but soon it got to the point where I knew it would take about 3 months to finish it.( I was using mspaint) So I just speed-pixeled as much as I could and dithered like a beast, thus creating some of the harsh looking AA sides.(for ex. the shine on the top right side of the orb.)...
Faktlabad, Tremulant, and Blick: yeah, the hand was troublesome to create a good lighting effect while at the same time using those geometric shapes to give it texture. I guess I took on too broad a project to make it look well enough and pleasing for the eyes.
And about the orb,( I sooooo knew nobody would see what the hell was going on in there) let me explain...The orb reflects the true intention of the holder. Therefore the holder, bieng the wizard, is actually evil, which is why the demon's face is what shows through to the viewer.(its his reflection in other words) Also, in the bottom left side of the orb, there is a reflection of the hand in demon form( as evident by the longer nails, although I must admit it is looking kinda strange and I kind see how someone would miss it).
The center of the orb is a metallic sphere that is creating electric energy and bolts(kinda like those cheap electric sphere/balls you find in the mall). And the strange white circles in the orbs are actually reflections from other light sources....There's no actual reasoning for the colors, as I just wanted to make it very colorful and mysterious...and again I apologise for the way things are positioned and how they don't translate well to the viewer, as I had no reference at all to work with( except my crack finger hands, which is probably why the hand looks the way it does)...
Stichy: "OMG B.O.B. /rapes you hard!!"....lol, that is the third reference to my name and something sexual. I think I'm giving out the wrong impression...

This is just awesome. Surreal, great colors, and the contrasts and flowing dithering just make this piece POP and say "Lookit meee!" Fav'd. :'D

Anyway, this still deserves a full rating. The spots with the obvious geometric theme in mind are really interesting, like in the texture of the hand.
The only "rust" I see in this piece comes from the fact that you've included both ultra-smooth gradients and some pretty harsh selout side by side in places (note the lower lefthand corner of the orb, for example), which makes for a bit of a jarring contrast. The black selout in other places bugs me a tad, too (the middle finger seems almost disconnected from the hand).
Honestly, though, this blew me over when I saw it. It's easily a perfect scroe, and I wouldn't doubt a hot contender for best of the month. Love it loads, and the colours in the background do a lot for me.

Holy god man, this is excellent. Love the colors/texture in the top left, very bright/misterious/atmospheric. And the orangish bg texture behind his hand: good god man, where did you learn to do stuff like that? The wizard's face is also amazing. How many colors?

Alas, I got ta be givin' ye some crits....
I know that where the middle finger connects to the hand there's supposed to be another finger segment that's hidden behind the other two, however it's just not convincing. Perhaps a cast shadow would do the trick? The lighting on the hand is just funky in general.
The orb is just messe dup for me, my mind can't wrap around what's going on in there.
Other than that, one of my faves at PJ. You sir are good.
