I actually started making these for a forum I ended up getting banned from as a sort of peace gift I suppose... but... oh well, their loss. Whatevs. I drew inspiration from a variety of emotes such as MSN and deviantART emotes. I really like what I made. I know some animations could be improved as well as shading but overall I like it a lot. :) I think I may make another set of emotes like this one... maybe of skulls. :D I wanted to keep the background because of the anti-aliasing on the outside, it just looks better. :P Oh yeah... 10 colors, bitch.

Well, I took your advice and gave it a try but I think I perfer it with the anti-alias. You can see it if you'd like.

Thanks for the crits! I had a hard time with the shading of this. When I put the lightest shade only on the top of the head and not on the bottom it looked really odd, so I was at odds with myself on how to shade it. I do like the outline though... Do you think I should remove the AA from the outline? Is that what you're saying?

Tone down the AA, it the outlines make it look pillowshaded.

Really cool. If you do make skulls try to have them used in the dark theme :P
