A collaborational effort between me and David (or Frank_Jaeger or whatever name he goes by here). The Lineart: http://www.iamnotoriginal.com/images/pixel/sketches/bird_shit.png Most of the background has been blurred for with Promotion's soften-brush. edit: Tiny update, wasn't too fond of the cyclops either, so i changed it back to the original features.

I'll get to it when I find time, the background never really tapped its potential (though the soften-brush did nothing I couldn't have done myself if had been ready to invest trice the time in placing the pixels by hand. Promotion's softening only uses the colors you already defined beforehand in the palette)

The contrast between the character and the foreground is fabulous. As is everything else for that matter. Great work! A lot of your work is great though. :)

Really nice and original. There's a few bits where the body outline could have been better antialiased over the background, but it's really clean otherwise.

I'm not entirely sure whats going on in a few places(namely the head) but it doesn't stop me from loving it.
Gorgeous use of colors, and brilliantly surreal.

Was looking at this in another forum. Was Stunned then, and still stunned now. It's obvious this will make the weekly showcase within a couple of days. After checking out the line art, I noticed you seemed to have left out his feet ( even if they were a little mangled). I'm not sure if the blending of the feet into the background was intended, or just the patented "unfinished" look you tend to always leave. I also think the left legs darkest outline seems to be a little sloppy, and could beg to be cleaned up a smidge. I have no clue whats going on with the head ( a jar-head, I suppose?), but it still looks pretty kick ass at the moment. I can't really crit on anything else, since I always enjoy your strang piece's awkardness. I think the background is fitting at the moment, no matter what anyone says...Too cool for words...

Beautiful, stylish and utterly bizarre. The color choice is awesome and so is the shading.
I might be wrong, but his (actual) arm looks just a little unnatural - like it's missing a bone or two. But it's a surreal piece, so nitpicking is pointless.

Also, not a huge fan of the junk: )
