The shadings so beautiful it'd be nice to see this extending into more than just a head.
Rather reminds me of the giant tortoise/turtle thing from never ending story.

Love the palette and the dithering is well executed with implied texture that is relevent for a change. Nice work!

Reminds me of Morla from the Neverending Story. :) Nice use of colours although I think the dithering could use some more texture/direction. Great work nevertheless.

I definitely know what you mean about it just being there and how it'd be so much better with a body and/or a background, I thought the same thing when I was done with it.

Looks pretty good at the moment, though I would rather this thing be full body, or at least pictured in a scene, as of right now, it tends to just....be there. I do see your dithering ability is coming quite nicely as of late. Something irks about the colors though. They are put together nicely, it's just that I think the selection of cool colors make him seem too calm. It must be a personal preference really, because I don't really know how to put my issue into the proper wording. But it is nicely done, however, and I can't fault you for the hue choice, as it's not bad. Just woulda' wished it were made a smidge bigger, to include maybe upper body, or birds in the background, across a beach or something to make seem not so empty...(This post makes absolutely no sense, sorry...)
