The update really makes alot of difference :D very nice! Now all you have to do is animate the fire place and it's perfect ;)

in my fantasy, the man could be Angiolina's husband... they prepares the tree and gifts for their childrens. There are two stockings hung to the fireplace, ready for them .

It is true, Angiolina and the gifts are near to the tree and the ignited lights would have to be reflected on they. I will try to make this improvement.

I get this cosy christmas feel when I look at this room. I love all the details, such as the dog, the toy train, the stockings/socks (dont know the english word for it?) hanging by the fire. Although I think you should animate the fire, and maybe when the lights in the christmas tree lights up you should make some changes in the shadow on the girl and the gifts, maybe just add some highlights.
