Wolfie VS Raptors :: Pixel Art Detail

Flink or Lomax, the games are all the same. But the graphics are great! And so is this little mockup!
It would do well with a color accent or two, like maybe a mushroom red in the grass?

Yes haha, I trees are still influenced with the spiral thing from Flink and the grass colours I learned a lot from his games (mostly the harry potter one). I love his work. I really love his desaturated approach.

Haha, I had this discussion with jalonso, because I didn't want to make Wolfie face away, and I'm used to playing Suikoden (1:1 ratio) where some of the party members face SW and then look W. Haha, I guess he looks a little imtimitaded this way, but I vouch for him that he will win the fight.

heck, if i was wolfie,  i wouldnt be looking fierce at all! two raptors against one werewolf, come on, only bad enemy ai can save him now!

God damn, everything about this one is great. I'm especially jealous of the grass/leaves on the ground, they look perfect. 5/5 from me.

Just so damn good. Only thing I would say is what has been mentioned about the werewolf not looking quite as fierce as he could. Still a 5/5 .

Excellent work. Something about the wolf just bothers me though. I guess it's that his legs look like their in a straightlin and the way his right arm just looks like in an odd position. May just be me though. As for actual technique though, it looks great.

That's so funny about the teeth. The raptors are the most amazing iso creatures I've seen and the teeth are the best part of them.

While Buloght thanks me for c+c on this. It was very minimal and not worthy of noting since it was awesome even in the WIP stages.

Lovely, the background is sensational. Not so keen on the raptor's teeth though. But very nicely done.

Thanks for the comments all! Yeah, the dinos are of course replicas, wanted it to feel like RPG battle against raptor pack, I guess for pixel art purposes making them different would be better, but I wanted it to feel game like.

Wolfman looks a bit intimidated from this angle.  Heh, I love how the raptors have those sadistic smiles.  The spotlight effect on the grass really gives an excellent sense of a clearing in a forest. Nice.
