Started as a still life, ended as a photo study because I may have eaten all the actual candies after looking at them for too long. BG is just meant to reflect the contrast/light distribution of the real life scene.

What a beautiful piece! The glass (and eveything inside it) is masterfully rendered! I really like all of the colors and the composition.

The way you rendered the glass is still something so insane to me! A piece I should study for sure!
