Wow really beautiful scene! I really like the feel that it gives!
You're character looks really awesome and cool! I really like his design and his staff!
The scenery also looks amazing! I really like all of the different trees and mountains and clouds they look really good!
For critique, I do have some pointers that I think would make the scene feel a little more alive! Firstly I would suggest pushing the shadows a little more on the top of the trunks, (where the leaves meet the trunk) reason being that generally most of the trunk up there, is going to be covered by the leaves so there isn't much light flowing to it, thus I think it should be a little darker than the rest of trunk!.
Also I would suggest maybing adding a little more things to the mountains! Like maybe some more snow on the right one, and maybe some trees or floor vegation to the left one. Just to have them feel a little less empty!
Other than that I think your piece looks amazing! Great Job!

I also appreciate the critique and I must say that I agree with everything you said. So just to clarify - the trees should have shadows below their crowns, however I created 4 types of the tree sprites for each season, and in the winter they did not have any leaves, so I left the shadows out and just used the bare trunk and branches. I know that it is kind of lazy, and I know that there is a more elegant solution to this, but I am still learning. :)
