Thanks for all the comments and crits! It was a fun piece to make, and it was nice to work towards a specific theme in a limited amount of time. Kudos to the initiative takers of the weekly challenge and those who commented in the WIP thread.

@ Setzer: Yeah, i went for quite vibrant colors, and on top of that, my laptop screen (on which I made it) can't be trusted.

@ iSTVAN: I'm glad I brightened him too, thanks for the advice!

The smoke is so good.
Yet the robot doesn't look too great.
Dither and metal never really works.

I love the detail on the grass that you've added. The trees in the background and the one he's holding looking a little rushed, comparitively. Smoke looks excellent, as does the robot. Glad you brightened the person aswell. It is a great entry!

The colors seem a little too vibrant to me, but I guess thats what you were going for. the little guy seems too bright to be casted in shadow, also.

if i compare it with the other love machines ive seen in the forum topic so far, this is my favorite... nice idea, nice colours, nice linework... its just... your love machine has someone thats in love with it...
