I thought the joke was something like, lightning can't hit a plane, since there is no "grounding" effect, and the pilot thought it was a close call...

@ ikke, I tried to make the clouds appear "blurred" to create a DoF contrast to the sharp foreground. I'll have to work more on that technique I guess.

@ Emanu, It's not really a joke I suppose; the foreground character believes the pilot is silly for flying in a thunder storm.

Great scene and great colors. Only the clouds are a bit substandard.

dude..i am in love with your style..i was driving home from work and i was asking msyelf "what is my style, how do people recognize its my art" and i thought about you and your lighting, snake with his really almost non-exsistant dithering style...and so on..

you really have a fucking awsome gift for lighting. maybe when ever you arnt busy you can try to help me hone in on my talent and maybe ill be able to find my true "style"
